reflection, projection, and shared perspectives.
sidereal libra season companion (october 17 - november 16)
the sun entered sidereal libra on october 17, joining mercury, under the rulership of venus in sidereal scorpio and co-present with the full moon in sidereal aries.
in libra, the sun is fallen, transitioning us into the darker months in the northern hemisphere, inching closer to the winter. the sun in libra is where we are intimate with the themes of reflection, projection, contrast, comparison, weighing perspectives, seeing through the eyes of another, and making decisions understanding the gravity of cause, effect, and consequences (exaltation of saturn).
in libra, the sun is not solely functioning as a singular self but a relational self. in libra, the sun considers your point of view. how do you see me? how am i making you feel? am i too much, too little, or just enough? in libra, the sun dances in the sky, flirts with the clouds, encourages you to seize the day and appreciate the night. at libra, we experience a reprieve from the extremes of the summer season and embrace the liminal, the middle space between beginnings and endings, endings and beginnings.
with the sun in libra answering to venus in sidereal scorpio until november 7, we are exploring our relational shadows and uncovering what lurks beneath the surface. it’s uncomfortable, and our egos are being challenged to see beyond what triggers us so that we can bring light to what heals, mends, and transforms us. we’re exploring the medicines embedded within justice, intimacy, and exchange, and allowing these reflections to show us more about what we’re truly capable of when we’re not solely operating from me, me, me.
on november 7, the sun in libra will answer to venus in sagittarius, who will be in mutual reception with jupiter rx in taurus. following our journey into the underworld, we’ll branch out and reflect on where we are with our values, convictions, beliefs, politics, and spiritual praxis. where are we slipping into dogmatic ideologies and where are we being exclusionary? what happens when we have to leave those behind that don’t align with our values of liberation, justice, and self-determination for all? how do we restore harmony to our world amid so much destruction and chaos? where does beauty make itself known through our willingness to show up for one another.
the sun in libra is about our agreements, the perspectives we share. it’s not about domination but collaboration and interdependence.
