the sun entered sidereal leo on august 16, joining the south node.
this season draws our attention to the edges of who we’ve been and who we’re choosing to become. it asks us to discern what truly belongs to us and what we’ve affixed to ourselves out of habit, obligation, performance, and expectation. this season is helping us make the conscious choice of what we will and won’t embody.
leo, following cancer and preceding virgo, holds the reality of “I”, which is the vessel that the force of spirit and life moves through. sidereal leo gets us in tune with our ego, our consciousness, our sight, clarity, perception, identity, the outward principle (also referenced as masculine), and the enduring nature of the heart.
we’re also in eclipse season, with august 23’s leo new moon leading us back to the lunar eclipse in sidereal leo that happened on march 14. the sun conjunct the south node invites us to reflect on what we are leaving behind, which sets the stage for the lunar eclipse in aquarius on september 7, which is a moment meant to illuminate what must shift in our collective and individual awareness.
