to be alive is to exist in a cycle of exchange, having and not having, gaining and losing.
nothing we possess, consume, or release ends or begins with us. the food on our tables was once seed in soil nourished by sunlight and rain. the money we spend was once spent by someone else. even our names belong to a history that existed before us. what we call “ours” is always already shared.
the 2H-8H axis is our encounter with this truth. it is an axis of survival, sustenance, acquiring, and sharing. through this axis, we learn what steadies and supports us, what we are willing to + desire to have and hold, and what we are asked to give away and share.
here, we feel and navigate the tension of possession and relinquishment, mine and ours, and the formation and transformation of self.
